The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
